Overview

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In this role, you will manage a thermal components supply chain, collaborating closely with internal and external teams to ensure continuity of supply and meet cost goals.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key member of the AWS Infrastructure supply chain team helping to define and deliver complex supply chain strategies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable analytical tools, dashboards, and metrics that drive key decisions and resource prioritization.
  • Understand the technical requirements of partners and work closely with internal technical teams to guide direction of activities that impact the supply chain.
  • Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders to shape solution design.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Develop clear action plans to drive global supply availability and execute supply‑chain strategies for assigned categories/components.
  • Lead internal engagements across Supply Chain, Engineering, NPI, Logistics, Planning, and Business organizations while engaging closely with suppliers on supply monitoring, status, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage supplier relationships and communications, track orders and inventory levels, process purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate material requirements with internal teams and maintain accurate procurement documentation.
  • Maintain continuity of supply (COS) for electromechanical component supply chains (e.g., power supplies, inverters, batteries, racks). Include capacity planning for expanding manufacturing lines.
  • Work with data and analytics, including Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Python, to support forecasting and demand‑supply planning.
  • Communicate supply status, risks, and mitigations to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards across global operations.
Key Responsibilities / Daily Activities Include
  • Material and inventory planning.
  • Supply and demand planning and forecasting.
  • Maintaining continuity of supply (COS).
  • Communicating supply status, risks/mitigations to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Working with data and analytics (Excel or similar spreadsheet software).
  • Working with suppliers/vendors and inventory warehousing teams.
  • Managing electromechanical component supply chain (power supply units, inverters, batteries, racks, frames, mechanical accessories, chassis, fans, heatsinks).
  • Capacity planning (expanding new manufacturing lines).
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration, or operations experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing experience, including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Python.
  • Experience in global supply chain management and managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product company.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process experience.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies.
