  • Coordinate and oversee product movement between US and Mexico facilities, ensuring smooth transit and minimal border delays.
  • Coordinate international export shipments to customers and partners across multiple countries, selecting appropriate carriers, incoterms, and routing based on destination requirements.
  • Ensure all export shipments comply with destination‑country import regulations, tariff classifications, and licensing requirements; proactively flag and resolve documentation gaps to prevent customs holds, fines, or shipment delays.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of country‑specific customs regulations, trade agreements, and denied/restricted party screening requirements, and partner with customs brokers to ensure consistent compliance across all shipping lanes.
  • Prepare, verify, and process export documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), commercial invoices, customs paperwork, and routing instructions.
  • Audit shipment contents against manifests, invoices, and production orders to confirm accuracy, compliance, and proper labeling.
  • Pack, seal, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment using staging equipment and shipping systems.
  • Track inventory levels and maintain organization within the stockroom.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments for regulatory reporting.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, QA, and production teams to align shipping schedules with product availability.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with international freight forwarding, customs documentation, and multi‑country export shipping, including but not limited to US‑Mexico cross‑border shipping.
  • Working knowledge of international customs compliance requirements, tariff/HS classification, export control regulations, and denied party screening; prior experience resolving or preventing customs compliance issues strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with shipping software/carrier portals and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy shipping items and containers.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours based on production and carrier schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills for coordinating with customs brokers and freight partners.
