Here's The Role

At LCRA, we are seeking a skilled Category Buyer to join our procurement team! This role involves supporting our internal customer needs by leading sourcing events and procuring vital materials and services needed in our day-to-day operations. As a category buyer, you will be responsible for utilizing a strategic mindset while aligning with specific procurement processes. The ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships is imperative.

• Lead sourcing events and execute Purchase Orders for those services and materials
• Support multiple stakeholders within the organization with their procurement needs
• Follow up on existing orders with suppliers and stakeholders
• Support special projects throughout the year by representing Supply Chain and ensuring all LCRA purchasing policies and procedures are met.

• Two or more years of experience in procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management or other relevant experience.

• Expertise conducting formal and informal purchases for goods/services
• Experience managing supplier relationships
• Experience establishing and managing stakeholder relationships
• Understanding of inventory management and control
