The OpportunityWe are conducting a confidential search for an experienced SIOP / S&OP Specialist to join a multi-site, private equity-backed manufacturing firm in the Austin, Texas area
.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who understands how Sales, demand, inventory, manufacturing, supply, warehousing, and distribution come together across a multi-site manufacturing environment to ultimately deliver to the customer.
The SIOP / S&OP Specialist will have ownership and visibility across the planning process, beginning with the sales and customer demand signal and following it through manufacturing, inventory, fulfillment, distribution, and final customer delivery.
SIOP / S&OP Process & Planning SystemsSupport and continuously improve the organization’s SIOP / S&OP process and planning cadence

Maintain accurate planning assumptions, parameters, and data within ERP and related planning systems.
Understand how MRP, item masters, BOMs, routings, lead times, inventory data, and other system information affect planning across multiple facilities.
Identify data integrity problems and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them.
Help establish greater consistency in planning processes and data across locations.
Develop repeatable processes that improve planning accuracy, visibility, and accountability.
What We’re Looking For- 5+ years of progressive experience in SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning), S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning), demand planning, supply planning, production planning, inventory planning, or related manufacturing planning disciplines
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working within a formal SIOP or S&OP environment
- Experience working within a multi-site manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of the complete planning cycle from sales and customer demand through manufacturing, inventory, distribution, and final customer delivery
- Experience in high-mix, configurable, or make-to-order manufacturing environments preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to work with complex operational and business data
- Ability to identify patterns, recognize inconsistencies, investigate root causes, and translate data into meaningful recommendations
- Experience working with ERP and MRP-based planning systems
- Strong understanding of demand planning, inventory management, production planning, capacity planning, and supply chain fundamentals
- Strong cross functional relationship-building skills
- Ability to influence people and drive action without direct authority
- Confidence communicating with manufacturing and warehouse employees, functional leaders, senior leadership, and C-suite executives
- Ability to move comfortably between detailed operational analysis and strategic business discussions
- Strong business judgment, curiosity, and problem-solving capabilities
- High level of personal ownership and accountability
- Experience with SIOP, S&OP, or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) within a multi-site manufacturing organization
- Experience with in a private equity-backed or high-growth manufacturing environment
- APICS CSCP, CPIM, or related certification
- Experience with high-mix, configurable, or make-to-order manufacturing
- Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and planning analytics
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
- Experience improving ERP-based planning processes
