The Assistant Controller will support and oversee key accounting functions tied to fund operations and investor reporting. You’ll partner closely with senior leadership to enhance processes, maintain reporting accuracy, and ensure operational excellence, while also guiding and developing accounting staff and managing relationships with external service providers. This role blends technical expertise with people leadership and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Support and oversee key accounting functions tied to fund operations and investor reporting.
- Partner with senior leadership to enhance processes, maintain reporting accuracy, and ensure operational excellence.
- Guide and develop accounting staff and manage relationships with external service providers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and alignment of financial controls and reporting practices.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within alternative investments, financial services, or a Big 4 public accounting environment.
- Current CPA designation.
- Strong leadership capability, technical accounting proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively while managing and developing a team.
