Job Description Summary

Responsible for end‑to‑end management and operations of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Student Information Systems (SIS) platforms, including coordinating, monitoring, controlling and communicating all relevant activities to appropriate stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as people manager for a team of analysts and developers.
  • Oversees production operations of ERP and SIS applications, including maintenance, configuration, monitoring and incident response.
  • Serves as Incident Manager for related applications during production incidents and outages.
  • Interfaces with external vendor partners responsible for delivering the final software product and systems integration consulting services.
  • Coordinates projects and activities related to the platforms, including business requirements gathering, testing and implementation of various modules.
  • Acts as the business relationship manager for internal groups and represents the systems to all stakeholders.
  • Establishes work plans and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases, and arranges recruitment or assignment of direct reports as needed.
  • Provides leadership, motivation, and career development to team members throughout the year and collaborates with staff to outline work plans.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Works with project managers, overseeing the closing of all related projects including access removal, test environment decommissioning, documentation and lessons learned.
  • Manages the daily workload of staff in accordance with target metrics and provides input to the Director for refining service‑related operations and metrics.
Knowledge
  • Supervisory principles, practices and methods.
  • Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies, processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key areas of a major ERP system, including finance and HR.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Student Information Systems (SIS).
  • Sound understanding of IT concepts: SDLC, IT Service Management, IT Incident and Problem Management, iterative development/delivery, systems integration, data cleansing, data migration, verification and validation.
  • Knowledge of instructional resource technology and terminology and higher‑education practices, policies and procedures.
  • Budget and resource planning knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with risk identification, risk mitigation/contingency planning, tracking and escalation/resolution.
