GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Infrastructure Contracting Branch Manager, this position performs advanced (senior‑level) contract administration work in support of the Department’s planning, design and construction projects. The Senior Contract Manager provides leadership and direction to a team responsible for the solicitation, award and administration of professional design services and construction contracts. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring staff, including a Team Lead for the Minor Construction program;

monitoring workloads and priorities; and ensuring compliance with all applicable statutes, rules and agency policies.

The Senior Contract Manager develops and implements procedures, training, and process improvements to promote consistency, efficiency and accountability within the branch. The position also leads and participates in special projects and highly complex procurements, providing expert guidance on contract development, procurement, negotiation and administration. This role is responsible for providing mentorship to staff while fostering a collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and critical thinker with demonstrated experience managing teams, administering complex contracts and driving excellence in a fast‑paced environment.

Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Construction Management or closely related field.
