The Vice President of Asset Management will oversee the financial and technical performance of the company's operating renewable energy portfolio, including utility‑scale battery storage and solar assets. This position is accountable for maximizing asset value, ensuring adherence to all contractual and regulatory obligations, enhancing fleet performance, and guiding long‑term operational strategy. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in renewable energy asset management, strong commercial judgment, and a data‑driven mindset to optimize performance of the portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Develop asset optimization strategies to maximize revenue, minimize downtime, reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead budgeting, variance reporting, portfolio planning, and long‑term asset planning.
  • Partner with O&M, OT/SCADA, Performance Engineering, Finance, Commercial Operations and Construction teams to ensure seamless lifecycle performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual agreements:
    Interconnection Agreements, O&M contracts, LTSAs, land leases, and vendor contracts.
  • Lead NERC, RTO/ISO, and interconnection compliance activities.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting for internal stakeholders and financial counter parties.
  • Manage end‑of‑warranty and insurance claims.
  • Work closely with O&M leadership to ensure proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance to achieve performance KPIs, degradation reduction and asset enhancement.
  • Coordinate with OT and Performance Engineering teams on data quality, system availability, controls optimization, and event response.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.
Key Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy, asset management, operations, or project finance.
  • MBA or advanced degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, O&M strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Technical knowledge of utility‑scale battery storage and solar performance drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interface with lenders, investors, and executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated track record managing and growing a team and improving processes and systems to support portfolio growth.
  • Ethical decision‑making capability exemplified.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation and Location
  • Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Bonus:
    An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the business's overall success.

  • Location:

    Hybrid (USA). Ability to work in the United States is a requirement. Preference is given to candidates located in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate. Remote will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
