Position Overview

We're seeking a rare blend of strategic visionary and hands-on operator to serve as our Chief Operating Officer during this critical early-stage growth phase. This isn't a traditional executive role where you'll delegate everything from day one. You'll be rolling up your sleeves, building systems from the ground up, and moving with urgency to establish the operational foundation that will scale Ways2

Well. You'll need to think strategically about where we're going while simultaneously executing tactically on what needs to happen today.

You’ll be the President’s true partner: translating strategy into execution, aligning the leadership team, and building just‑enough structure to support rapid growth — all while staying deeply hands‑on with a bias‑toward‑action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run the business day-to-day: own operations and cross functional execution across key functions (e.g., ops, marketing, HR, clinical).
  • Build and scale core systems: decision making, hiring, onboarding, performance, finance controls, and operational processes that support fast growth without killing agility.
  • Partner with the President to translate vision into priorities, then hold the leadership team accountable for execution.
  • Be deeply hands‑on: jump in where needed, solve problems quickly, and unblock teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Mentor and develop leaders and teams, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
Must-Have Qualifications (Non-negotiable)
  • Proven experience running day-to-day operations in a complex, fast paced environment (e.g., cross functional ops, GM, or COO role).
  • Builder mindset: experience building or significantly scaling operating systems (OKRs, planning, cadence, hiring, finance, HR, etc.) in a growing company.
  • Integrator mindset: strong track record of aligning leadership teams, running operating rhythms, and holding teams accountable.
  • Bias toward action: consistently makes decisions quickly with imperfect data and drives execution in ambiguity.
  • Hands‑on, no ego operator: willing to jump in, roll up sleeves, and do whatever it takes to unblock the business.
  • Problem solver with smart, creative solutions: thrives in complexity and finds practical, scalable ways forward.
  • Collaborative leader: builds trust, mentors teams, and works effectively across functions and levels.
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Startup experience (founding team, early stage, or high growth scaleup) is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in both small and large organizations (e.g., startup and corporate or PE backed environment).
  • A background in a related industry (health, wellness, telemedicine, or online pharma) is a plus but not required.
Who You Are (Culture Fit)
  • Initiative & drive: you see what needs to be done and make it happen without waiting to be told.
  • Day‑to‑day operator: you love running the business, not just advising on it.
  • Fast paced & resilient: you thrive in chaos, move quickly, and stay calm under pressure.
  • No ego, hands‑on: you’re comfortable doing the work, not just delegating it.
  • Mentor & collaborator: you build strong teams, develop talent, and work well with others.
Education &

Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in business or related field required. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
