Salary Range: $21.00 To $21.00 Hourly
The Department of Motor Vehicles Mailroom Site Supervisor oversees and coordinates all mail processing operations within the Department of Motor Vehicles. This role is responsible for managing the accurate transformation and indexing of vehicle license plate data, ensuring that all information is correctly entered, processed, and distributed to the appropriate recipients. The supervisor also ensures compliance with established procedures and maintains high standards of accuracy and quality control for all outgoing and incoming documents.
Role& Responsibilities
- Oversee team operations at assigned contract sites to ensure completion of all work within established deadlines and defined scope.
- Ensure daily fulfillment of the scope of work and achievement of service goals.
- Maintain contractual compliance through proactive supervision, regular audits, and on-site inspections.
- Support management in developing and implementing policies, processes, and workflow procedures to improve efficiency and performance.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with building managers, staff, and team members.
- Identify, document, and report operational issues to leadership in a timely manner.
- Address and resolve employee performance concerns and quality control issues promptly and effectively.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance work practices, operational procedures, and quality control measures.
- Promote and enforce workplace safety standards, reporting hazards and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Coach, train, and mentor team members to support professional development and performance improvement.
- Manage timekeeping, attendance, and payroll processes, ensuring alignment with budgeted labor hours and performance metrics.
- Monitor and maintain adequate supply inventories; submit orders as needed for assigned worksites.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment and fleet assets, ensuring operational readiness.
- Adhere to departmental dress code and assigned work schedule.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner within the community.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-year supervisory experience.
- 2 years’ experience in a mail processing center.
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or American Sign Language preferred.
- Proficiency in setting and managing schedules for team members.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Hands‑on experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Creative and flexible problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with disabled or disadvantaged populations.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work, including safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license with approved driving record, liability insurance, vehicle in good working condition to travel for work‑related business.
- Approved background check per site requirements.
- Ability to work in a non-climate‑controlled environment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and twist for eight hours.
