Your Role as Low Voltage Production Manager
  • Project Scheduling and Coordination:

    • Plan, schedule, and coordinate low voltage prewire, trim, and commissioning activities across multiple residential projects.

    • Work closely with project managers, general contractors, and subcontractors to align timelines and milestones.

  • Subcontractor Onboarding and Management:

    • Oversee selection, onboarding, and performance of low voltage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to Home Pro standards and safety protocols.

    • Conduct debriefs and performance reviews, and manage corrective actions where necessary.

  • Quality Assurance and Job Close-Out:

    • Perform job debriefings and inspections at completion to verify all deliverables meet company quality expectations.

    • Verify and process job completion reports, document discrepancies, and coordinate timely resolution.

  • Job Record Maintenance and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of labor lines, materials used, job progress, and change orders in the company’s job management system.

    • Generate regular production reports and provide updates to leadership on schedule, budget, and quality metrics.

  • Process Improvement and Safety:

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce rework, and improve installation efficiency.

    • Ensure compliance with low voltage codes, company safety standards, and site‑specific requirements.

  • Team Leadership and Training:

    • Provide leadership, coaching, and hands‑on training to production staff and subcontractors to uphold technical standards and best practices.

    • Support recruiting and development efforts to build a skilled, reliable production team.

  • Maintaining Accurate Information:

    • Ensure all job information, including labor lines, materials used, and job specifics, is accurately recorded and updated in the company’s database.

    • Address any discrepancies or issues with job information promptly.

  • Qualifications for Low Voltage Production Manager
    • Proven experience managing low voltage or structured cabling production for residential or commercial projects.

    • Strong understanding of low voltage systems (audio/video, networking, access control, security, automation) and applicable codes and best practices.

    • Demonstrated success managing subcontractors, schedules, and field crews.

    • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

    • Experience using job management software, inventory systems, and field reporting tools.

    • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and make data-driven decisions.

    • Relevant certifications or training in low voltage systems, networking, or project management preferred.

      Ability to visit job sites and perform periodic hands‑on inspections; ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
