Position: Project Manager (hybrid)

14476 – Project Manager (hybrid) – Austin, TX

Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions

Work Setting:
Hybrid, 2 days remote with 3 days (Tue, Wed and Fri) required to be onsite. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Required:
  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Austin, TX (required)
  • Project Management experience (8 years)
  • Experience managing enterprise scale data management projects (8 years)
  • Experience managing agile projects at state or federal government agencies or similar (8 years)
Preferred:
  • Experience with common project management systems like Jira, Micro Focus Project Management etc. (5 years)
  • Experience creating Texas Project Delivery Framework deliverables and managing projects using this framework (3 years)
  • Certified PMP
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other Agile-related certifications
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Lead and manage the SHARP (State Health Analytics Reporting Platform) enhancement project, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables to expand reporting capabilities for program area users.
  • Manage and coordinate a vendor software development team while collaborating with the in-house software team to ensure alignment, productivity, and timely delivery.
  • Apply enterprise-level project management practices to oversee large-scale data management initiatives, ensuring successful execution within state or government environments.
  • Facilitate Agile project management processes, including sprint planning, backlog management, stakeholder engagement, and iterative delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project plans, risk registers, status reports, and executive communications to keep leadership and stakeholders informed.
  • Ensure compliance with the Texas Project Delivery Framework (TPDF) and produce required framework deliverables and documentation as applicable.
  • Utilize project management tools such as Jira or Micro Focus Project Management to track progress, manage resources, resolve issues, and ensure project objectives are achieved.
