- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of pre‑construction program management in construction, real estate or data‑center industries.
- 5 years of contract negotiation and procurement strategy, managing developer, EPC, GC, and A/E relationships.
- 5 years of data‑visualization (Tableau, SQL, dashboards) to monitor program health.
- 5 years of contract administration, procurement or legal support in a high‑volume professional environment.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 10 years of managing agreement negotiations across various methodologies.
- Experience optimizing end‑to‑end source‑to‑contract flow for mission‑critical portfolios.
- Experience in designing and constructing critical facilities and leading partnerships with developers, architects and engineers.
- Understanding of indemnity, liability and standard commercial terms.
As a Contract Manager within Global Infrastructure and Energy, you will oversee the contract‑management lifecycle for the global data‑center portfolio, focusing on commercially engaging Developers, EPCs, GCs and A/E firms. You act as a strategic bridge between Legal and Operations, ensuring contracts maximize business value while mitigating legal and financial risks. Primary duties include negotiating with vendors, clients and partners for favorable terms that align with key Department goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for timely execution of portfolio contract models for Google’s growing data‑center program.
- Influencing development and selection of contracting models based on project‑specific nuances.
- Partnering with Construction, Design and external partners to drive contract review, negotiation and execution lifecycle.
- Interfacing with the internal Real Estate Legal team to align contractual terms with corporate risk expectations.
- Lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish, planning requirements and managing schedules.
- Identify risks and communicate clearly with cross‑functional partners across time zones.
- Coordinate players and maintain progress and deadline visibility.
US base salary range: $147,000–$216,000 plus bonus, equity and benefits. Salary determined by role, level, location and factors such as experience and training.
