One Royal Culture Short Story

Royal Electric Company is hiring for an Electrical Foreman for our infrastructure team will support projects in the Austin and San Antonio areas.

Success in this position looks like:
  • Work with project operations to coordinate logistics for lodging and site/yard prep including USA markings and ticket, security, office space and any potential housing requirements.
  • Work with GS and/or Superintendent on preplanning portion of the proven process while consistently executing the construction portion of proven process throughout the project
  • Create BOM with buy in from PM and/or Superintendent and submit to Buyer for processing and ensure material is aligned with schedule. Manage onsite coordination of material according to logistical/staging requirements and schedule.
  • Plan safety into every task of the project, identifying specific hazards, training/certifications needed to perform those tasks, and any specialized equipment or resources needed to perform the tasks safely. GS and/or Superintendent to review and provide expertise as needed.
  • Responsible for making sure every person is performing work safely. Review JHAs/THAs prior to tasks being performed. Ensure competent persons are on site as required for tasks, and that PPE is being worn at all times. Assign tasks to crew members that have the skill set and physical capability to perform the tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and create and maintain a work breakdown structure and production plan for major activities, determine how data will be tracked on the project and use the project schedule and WBS to identify necessary resources (material, equipment, labor) for each activity.
  • Work with PM and project team to implement prefab and virtual construction opportunities on the project. Coordinate schedules with the VC and Manufacturing departments for delivery of items. Escalate to Superintendent if needed.
  • Review and update overall project schedule, WBS, and CTC with PM ensuring all information is accurate.
  • Perform daily documentation and submit required documents such as timecards, equipment utilization, daily reports, and production tracking using productivity software, while complying with all rules, regulations, and company policies regarding work classifications, ratios, meal and rest periods, and work hours.
  • Communicate production goals daily and ensure the necessary labor, materials, and equipment required for production goals is available when and as needed. Continuously track daily production against goals to identify and remove obstacles, escalating issues to the PM and Superintendent if goals cannot be met.
  • Play an active role in employee development and disciplinary processes, fostering a culture of growth and accountability within the team.
  • Execute project closeout plan.
  • Perform tasks based on project needs.
Education & Experience
  • Active TX Journeyman License
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on construction trade or project experience in the electrical industry preferably with underground, distribution, and/or airport projects.
  • Experience leading crews of 1–10 journeymen/apprentices on single or multiple projects.
  • Experience in motor controls, PLCs, DC controls & AC power, contractors & relays, I/O and control wiring
