Director of Advisory
The Director of Advisory leads a high-performing team of financial advisors, ensuring accountability and alignment with organizational goals. This role is pivotal in shaping the advisory function and fostering a culture of deep, holistic planning. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive advisory background. A commitment to excellence and a passion for financial planning are essential. This position requires effective collaboration with the CEO and a proactive approach to team management.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a detail-oriented environment and be dedicated to client service.
Salary Range: $170,000 - $225,000 / Year DOE
Director of Advisory Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the advisory team of financial advisors
- Hold advisors and the CEO accountable to established goals and processes
- Instill and uphold the firm's methodology of deep, holistic planning
- Provide direct leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the planning team
- Develop and implement a talent strategy, including hiring and training
- Conduct team meetings with clear objectives and follow-through
- Establish standards for planning processes and client service
- Review team deliverables to identify areas for improvement
- Optimize planning workflows and integrate with other firm functions
- Maintain a small roster of high-impact client relationships
- Collaborate on long-term planning strategies and service model design
- Active CFP designation for all advisor roles
- RIA or comparable deep-planning experience is preferred
- Proven leadership experience managing advisors and teams
- Willingness to work onsite in College Station
- Comfort with comprehensive planning across various financial considerations
- Additional credentials such as CFA, CPA, or JD is preferred
- Prior experience at firms like Fidelity, Schwab, or Vanguard is preferred
