Job Description
The Senior Project Manager will assist their assigned manager with execution of assigned tasks, production of on time and high-quality work product, and coordination with other team members as assigned or requested. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for independent creation of technical work product as a single contributor and for supporting the success of their entire assigned practice area as the highest priority, regardless of any assigned subpractice area focus, or specific client engagement or relationship.

- Performs management and consulting services as assigned ensuring project continues on schedule and within budgetary and quality requirements.
- Ensures documentation relative to outstanding issues, change orders and requests for information are appropriately maintained and tracked.
- Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated avoiding unnecessary delays and cost overruns.
- Works with client to ensure effective regulatory agency relations and planning to expedite project design approval and permitting processes.
- Ensures effective communications and a collaborative work environment. When leading projects, the position will provide management and oversight. When a team member, will help develop tools and reports.
- Supervises, develops, and maintains program budgets, schedules and status reports.
- Provides oversight and management of external vendors.
- Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews plans to ensure standards of building performance, quality, cost schedules and safety are maintained.
- Reviews project delivery team member’s invoices and applications for payment for compliance with all contracts.
- Be aware of and perform own tasks in a manner that supports the organization’s vision and defined business objectives
- Conduct self and prioritize tasks to work toward achievement of defined profit objectives of assigned projects
- Cooperate in construction of strong cross-functional teams (support staff assignments of self) to achieve success in shared goals, understanding that multiple perspectives and talents build stronger teams and results
- Complete daily tasks consistent with contract requirements and proactively alert assigned manager to any potential challenges or issues
Ensure compliance of operations with all local, state and Federal (and International, if applicable) regulations, as well as compliance with company policy - Ensure consistent high quality on deliverables for all individual work product
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience, a Master's degree and 6 years of related experience, or 11 years of related experience and no degree.
- Six to nine years of experience in healthcare design, construction and/or facilities industry and three to five years of experience of direct project management experience with construction projects of increasing complexity.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills in the delivery of health care facilities including medical office buildings, acute care general hospitals, outpatient surgery centers and psychiatric hospitals from programming through facility activation.
- Must have been in responsible charge of the delivery of major projects exceeding $50 million construction cost and of significant complexity in at least two (2) of the above four (4) categories.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, solid interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities and work group facilitation skills.
- Leadership skills and the ability to initiate and maintain clear communications are preferred.
- Demonstration of leadership ability, including the management and delegation of appropriate tasks to technical and non-technical support staff.
- Demonstrated ability to gather needs and translate requests into potential solutions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project software is preferred.
