Vice President, Sales
As the Vice President of Sales for Taylor Morrison, you will serve as a strategic business partner working alongside other key departmental leaders while guiding your sales team to exceed sales and closing goals. You will help make customers’ dream of owning a Taylor Morrison home a reality.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, monitor and maintain sales plans for each assigned community in partnership with the Division President.
- Recruit, motivate, evaluate and coach sales staff.
- Gather and analyze competitive data and generate market analysis.
- Drive and manage the internet sales program and maintain MLS listings for the division.
- Assist in the land acquisition process, identifying buyer profiles, contributing to product development and determining specification levels.
- Analyze competitive market position for new land purchases.
- Oversee sales office permitting, tenant improvements and installation.
- Direct the design, merchandising and installation of model home complexes.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget for the sales/marketing department.
- Manage and develop escrow staff; interface with title companies and the Taylor Morrison in‑house lender services.
- Manage and develop architecture staff while maintaining relationships with outside architects.
- Participate daily in pricing and incentive programs for the division.
- Maintain broad knowledge of division markets, including buyer demographics, geography, sub‑markets, employment centers and consumer preferences.
- Establish, implement and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the sales associate compensation program.
- Maintain and manage the customer backlog; interface with customers and resolve escalated issues.
- Develop and implement community marketing, advertising and merchandising programs.
- Establish effective working relationships with external sales representatives and marketing vendors.
- Resolve issues pertaining to contracts or other administrative functions.
- Act as the Designated Broker for all selling efforts where applicable by state.
- Interview, select, train and compensate employees; appraise productivity; handle employee grievances; determine work techniques; plan and allocate work; and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Experience developing direct reports and others.
- Drive for results, strong priority setting and self‑knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- At least ten years of direct sales management experience in the homebuilding industry, with a track record of managing a sales team that delivers more than $600 million annually.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated success in sales and marketing.
- Computer literate.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand or sit for long periods and operate a motor vehicle.
