Position SummaryThe Corporate Projects Manager will contribute to the success of the organization through partnership with internal customers to develop and continuously monitor project schedules, risks, communication and reporting to ensure that high-priority projects are delivered on time and at/under budget.
Responsibilities- Develops and manages detailed project plans, including timelines, assignments, resources, and project milestones
- Coordinates and manages project kickoffs, ensuring that all appropriate department resources are involved and understand the projects’ goals, as well as individuals’ roles and responsibilities
- Codifies organizational standard project management methodologies guided by industry-leading best practices
- Acts as the primary point of contact for all internal and external project communication and documentation from the time of project initiation to handoff/close-out
- Collaborates with Corporate and Operations leaders, and vendors, to create and maintain project documents (e.g., rollout plans, strategic communication plans, technical/functional requirements, resource tracking, etc.)
- Meets with all Corporate and Operations leaders on a regular frequency to update general initiatives, align stakeholders, and collect feedback
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion to the responsible party
- Conducts postmortem analysis to derive lessons learned and shares with other project members, leaders, and technical teams
- Manages transition to operational and support teams and ensure successful hand-off to appropriate departments for on‑going support post‑implementation
- Administrates and supports project management software
- Focus on continuous improvement, innovation/automation, ease of implementation and increased adoption/performance
- Develops and disseminates regular progress, resource, and risk reporting to track project metrics
- Supports the strategic planning process
- Minimum of Bachelors degree in business or other discipline that requires quantitative knowledge
- At least two years of project management experience
- Experience with validated project management methodologies and practices
- Skill at facilitating meetings across audiences and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises
- Strong decision making/problem solving skills and experience with evaluating technical requests and projects
- Technical aptitude for understanding and communicating about new technologies
- Experience with Salesforce & Tableau preferred
- Experience working cross functionally on large corporate initiatives
- Strong analytical acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior management experience
Physical Requirements:
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
Work Environment:
- This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in our Austin office 3 days per week
- The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
