To serve as the central manager of faculty affairs and staff operations and to coordinate administrative needs across the school's portfolio. Serves as strategic support and advisor to the Director.
Responsibilities- Faculty Affairs:
Manage faculty HR lifecycle, including recruitment, hiring administration, onboarding, CPR, promotion & tenure support, annual merit review support, appointment correspondence, and advisement on HR matters. Coordinate with Faculty Affairs Office and align approvals. - Staff HR Representative:
Manage staff lifecycle—recruitment, onboarding, manager training, annual appraisals, offboarding. Act as HR partner within Workday. Maintain staff materials and coordinate with HR Office for approvals. - Staff Management:
Oversee direct‑report salaried staff, including registrar and graduate coordinator. Co‑manage assistant to the director and piano technicians; handle scheduling, leave, performance management, training, and appraisals. - Office Operations:
Partner with Director on staff management and administrative leaves. Ensure building presentation quality, internal communications, and manage Docu Sign and building access. - Business Office:
Coordinate faculty/staff budget transactions with Financial Officer. Manage seasonal budget efforts and advise on soft‑funding budgets. - Executive Committee Coordination and Accreditation Oversight:
Create committee agenda, manage calendars, oversee faculty review processes, collect accreditation data, and handle committee reports and data.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Three or more years of administrative support experience with experience in supporting or managing an office or office leadership.
- Three or more years of salaried staff management experience, including direct performance management.
- Advanced working experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams);
Qualtrix experience preferred. - Advanced writing and editing skills.

- Master’s degree.

$75,000+, depending on qualifications.

Regular staff employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University‑Wide or Open Recruiting, including promotion and lateral transfers. Staff who are promotion/transfer eligible may apply without supervisor approval.
Retirement Plan EligibilityRetirement plan is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
