Water Treatment Group Leader

Your impact
As a Water Treatment Group Leader, you'll be called upon to use your inspirational leadership skills to provide mentoring and coaching to staff aligned to you, including development of goals and performance reviews. GLs are also responsible for promoting inclusion and diversity and for working to provide meaningful and equitable opportunities for all staff to progress their careers within Jacobs. This is an opportunity to provide leadership and support staff as part of our broader West Central Water Team.
In this role you'll:
- Manage and grow the Treatment Department team located across West Central and global aligned staff
- Promote a culture of caring, quality, safety, and Inclusion and Diversity
- Build team culture in concert with overall performance unit and company goals/strategy
- Communicate with aligned staff about career goals, performance expectations, and workload management
- Work out of a Jacobs or client office at least 3 days a week
- Hold monthly or quarterly team meetings
- Hold 1:1 meetings with staff
- Manage staff performance and help grow and develop talent
- Manage staff utilization and partner with PMs and other project execution staff to deliver on project needs and contractual terms
- Partner with Market Solutions counterparts to disperse knowledge and incorporate new technologies within assigned field
- Coordinate across geographies, regions and globally to optimize resource management and provide opportunities for staff development
- Act as hiring manager for required staff, working in concert with others around established hiring plans; including helping our business achieve Together Beyond goals and integrate new hires
- Conduct internal team meetings to coordinate staff workloads and needs as well as convey management and HR communications, policies, procedures and industry norms
- Participate in West Central Water Team and West Central Leadership meetings
- Coordinate requests for training and conference attendance for aligned staff
- Review and approve time sheets, expense reports, and time off requests for aligned staff, as well as IT requests
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree or higher in applicable field
- Demonstrated aptitude, ability, and capacity to build and support a team
- Must be a team player possessing strong social, communication, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to formulate and convey a vision and collaborate with West Central Leadership and lead the team towards business objectives
- Reputation as an ethical employee capable of handling sensitive personnel issues that require patience, sensitivity, and discretion
- Ability to successfully perform Group Leader duties in concert with ongoing client billable work
- Ability to travel to other offices as required

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
