GARNEY CONSTRUCTION
Regional Safety Manager position is available s full‑time, salaried position offers competitive benefits and participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The main duty of the Regional Safety Manager is to serve as a resource for safety managers and crew on job sites regarding safety protocols. They should be available to visit and train crews on job‑specific certifications and developmental training, including planning and conducting safety meetings, compliance training, audits, and inspections throughout the job site.
Whatyou will be doing
- Provide support to construction crew
- Visit job sites to monitor safety, inspections, and safety audits
- Manage safety programs, trainings, workshops, and meetings
- Monitor paperwork related to incident management (medical bills, injury report, insurance claims, or medical clearance)
- Conduct investigations of workplace accidents and incidents to determine their causes
- Assist with documentation
- Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety‑related degree (preferred)
- Must have OSHA 30, OSHA 500, and CHST certifications
- Train the Trainer level (Competent Person) for Trenching & Excavation and Confined Spaces (preferred)
- ASP or CSP (preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
- Willing to travel per job requirements, overseeing the region of Texas
- Ability to create or draft a project‑specific safety plan
- High level of communication proficiency and ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within Operations, with a consistent, high level of engagement
- Passion for training and development within Safety
