About the Team and the Role

eBay is seeking a dynamic Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) leader to join our Global Site and Safety Resources (GSSR) team! Within eBay's Enterprise Management Resources (EMR) organization, GSSR owns the environmental, health, safety, sustainability, and facility operations of all corporate offices. The Senior Manager of Global EHS&S will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive global environmental, health, safety, and sustainability strategy and associated programs that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and prioritize safety and environmental stewardship!

This person will also serve as a strategic advisor to the EMR Leadership Team on all EHS&S issues for our global corporate offices, setting direction and strategy for appropriate standards and programs. This role will also work cross functionally with the Warehouse Logistics Resources team within EMR and the Data Center team to ensure alignment of standards and policies globally across all eBay work environments.

What

You Will Accomplish
  • Lead the corporate office EHS program globally, including identifying budget priorities, leading and developing regional EHS managers, and crafting and implementing a strategic roadmap to ensure continual improvement.
  • Improve existing EHS programs, policies, and standards that align with all appropriate federal, state, and local regulations and their international equivalents, as well as industry standard methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date and interpret EHS regulations and standards to ensure organizational compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and lead all aspects of required inspections and reporting.
  • Manage the risk assessment and audit program to proactively identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and coordinate emergency action and response plans in collaboration with Global Crisis Resources within EMR
  • Build a safety-first culture through ongoing communication and education initiatives and develop/deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels
  • Lead and maintain records of investigations of EHS incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Partner with eBay's ESG and Facilities Operations team to craft and implement sustainability initiatives intended to reduce the organization's environmental footprint.
What You Will Bring
  • Proven capabilities to mentor team members, build high-performing teams, and promote an inclusive environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity, with a bias to do what is right vs what is easy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to analyze sophisticated data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in Environmental Health & Safety, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
  • A proven track record of building successful EHS&S programs on a global scale.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
