Job Title

Mobile Engineering Operations Manager

Job Summary

Manages a team of engineers engaged in corrective and preventative maintenance of client facilities, establishes standards and work methods, ensures quality of work and performance, and improves departmental operations with a focus on efficiency.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in corrective and preventative maintenance at client facilities.
  • Establish and enforce standards, work methods, and quality controls.
  • Develop plans to improve departmental operations, emphasizing efficiency and economy.
  • Oversee all engineering functions that support critical business operations.
  • Prioritize client-driven work, preventative maintenance, and special initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, adjust staffing and schedules to meet KPI goals.
  • Assist in developing training programs for engineering personnel, including CMMS, payroll, performance management, and mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely timecard entry by all employees.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, employee relations, coaching, and training skills.
  • Assess employee performance and recommend staffing decisions.
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal skills and collaborate with personnel at all levels.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Lead all employees within the assigned area of responsibility and manage their performance.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Management preferred.
  • Minimum five years experience in building maintenance, including supervision, planning, scheduling, estimating, and hands‑on facilities maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of general building maintenance: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building automation systems, hardware, patching, and painting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with CMMS highly preferred.
