In this high‑impact role you will oversee multiple engineering programs spanning platform modernization, product delivery, and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with Venmo’s strategic objectives while coordinating across engineering, product, and technical teams. You’ll proactively manage program‑level dependencies, risks, and trade‑offs to keep critical initiatives on track and stakeholders informed.

The project & program responsibilities are focused on the delivery of a product or computer‑based system from design to release for customers.
  • Develop and manage program plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and procurement activities.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple projects to ensure alignment with program objectives.
  • Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Communicate program status to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Manage program budgets and financials.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and resolve conflicts.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of managing complex programs within an engineering environment.
Your Day‑to‑Day
  • Drive end‑to‑end delivery of mission‑critical consumer programs—setting goals, aligning milestones, and mobilizing execution across teams.
  • Partner with engineering and product leaders to translate ambitious ideas into well‑sequenced technical work streams.
  • Lead through influence across Product, Engineering, Design and Data teams.
  • Anticipate technical dependencies, risks, and trade‑offs, and guide the program team through clear, scalable paths forward.
  • Create clarity where there’s ambiguity—using data, insight, and storytelling to inform stakeholders and enable smart decision‑making.
  • Elevate the craft of program management by championing Agile, SAFe, and Lean practices.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and delivery excellence across globally distributed teams.
What You Bring
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in technical program management or engineering, including experience at scale in consumer‑facing tech.
  • Deep understanding of the programmatic ecosystem (DSP/SSP & Exchanges) and ideally auction dynamics.
  • Experience leading programs that deliver advertiser‑facing APIs, campaign management systems, and self‑serve tools.
  • Prior experience driving complex technical programs spanning ad serving, targeting, and measurement systems.
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and problem‑solving skills across all levels of the org.
  • Presence and ability to frame issues for senior stakeholders with clarity, context, and credibility.
