Role Description The Area Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin, ND, responsible for overseeing home health and hospice operations across a defined territory. This role manages branch performance, including staffing, financials, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction, ensuring services meet regulatory requirements and organizational standards. The Area Manager provides day-to-day leadership for local teams, supports clinical and administrative leaders, and drives consistent execution of best practices in patient care and operational workflows.
They collaborate with regional and corporate partners, analyze performance data, and implement improvement plans to enhance efficiency, outcomes, and growth. The position also involves building relationships with referral sources and community partners to support access to care and service expansion.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance coaching, and change management.
- Experience in healthcare operations, preferably in home health, hospice, or related care settings, with familiarity in regulatory and compliance standards.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple branches, priorities, and timelines.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and using metrics to guide operational decisions and improvement initiatives.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across clinical, administrative, and corporate teams.
- Customer service and relationship-building skills to maintain positive connections with patients, families, referral sources, and community partners.
- Comfort with using technology and software tools for scheduling, reporting, documentation, and communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant clinical licensure is a plus.
- Prior experience in a multi-site management or regional operations role is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Austin, ND and travel within the assigned area as needed.
