Position Information The Support Services Division is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a Deputy Director position. This individual will partner with the Division Director to oversee operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead key programs and initiatives. The Deputy Director supervises managers and professional staff, promotes high performance, and represents the division with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and accountability for division-wide operations.

Provides strategic and operational leadership for the Support Services Division by overseeing facilities planning, management and budget, security operations, and property management, while helping direct support services and staff across multiple locations to ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Supports the development and implementation of departmental policies, programs, and initiatives in accordance with federal and state regulations and Transportation Commission directives. Leads, assigns, and supervises managers and professional staff, promotes high performance and continuous improvement, serves on behalf of the Division Director as assigned.

Work requires frequent engagement with departmental leadership, government officials, private entities, internal stakeholders, and the public. Employees at this level exercise independent judgment and are directly accountable for assigned programs, initiatives, and work products.
