The Role

The Chief Executive Education Officer is the senior leader of Texas Executive Education and is responsible for all aspects of its business operations, strategy, and growth. Reporting to the Dean of the McCombs School of Business, the Chief Executive Education Officer will drive revenue, build lasting corporate relationships, and lead a talented professional team. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role for an entrepreneurial executive who thrives at the intersection of business development, organizational leadership, and the world of higher education.

Responsibilities

Revenue & Business Development
  • Own top‑line and bottom‑line financial performance; set and deliver against annual revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy to expand Texas Executive Education's corporate client base and market presence regionally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking, and consultative selling.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective corporate clients and program engagements.
Corporate Client Relationships
  • Serve as the primary executive relationship owner for key corporate partners, ensuring long‑term satisfaction and engagement.
  • Develop a portfolio of sustained, multi‑year client relationships that generate recurring revenue and referrals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to client organizations, understanding their talent and leadership development needs and crafting tailored solutions.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage the full client lifecycle from initial engagement through program delivery and renewal.
Staff & Operations Leadership
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of program managers, business development professionals, and operations staff.
  • Build and sustain a high‑performance and dynamic organizational culture that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Drive program design, delivery operations, and quality assurance to ensure outstanding client outcomes.
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and operational systems to ensure organizational health and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with McCombs faculty and academic leadership to ensure programs reflect the School's intellectual strengths.
