Managing Director / VP of IT Staffing Austin, Texas (On-site Leadership Required)

Our client is seeking an accomplished Managing Director / VP of Technology to lead and grow its Austin-based Technical Services division. This executive will oversee both sales and recruiting while driving operational excellence, market expansion, and long-term organizational growth. This role is ideal for a high-performing staffing sales leader who has successfully coached teams, built client relationships, and wants the opportunity to shape strategy while developing future leaders.

What You Will Do:

• Lead, coach, and develop the Austin Technology sales and recruiting organization.
• Drive accountability through KPIs, forecasting, production standards, and operating cadence.
• Build a high-performance culture focused on growth, collaboration, and execution.
• Support strategic business development and executive-level client relationships during the organization's continued expansion.
• Partner closely with recruiting leadership to maximize delivery quality and client satisfaction.
• Expand relationships with CIOs, CTOs, IT executives, and procurement leaders throughout the Austin market.
• Participate as a member of the executive leadership team, helping shape business strategy and future investments.
• Build the infrastructure, processes, and leadership bench necessary to support continued regional expansion.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven success leading technology staffing sales organizations.
• Strong sales background with credibility coaching and developing producers.
• Experience leading both sales and recruiting teams.
• Demonstrated ability to scale staffing operations through leadership, process improvement, and talent development.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence clients, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Strong business acumen and experience managing forecasts, pipelines, and operational performance.
• Desire to build an organization rather than simply manage a personal book of business.
• Must reside in the Austin market.

Requirements:

• Technology staffing leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success growing staffing revenue through sales leadership.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and developing staffing professionals.
• Strong client development and executive relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational leadership abilities.
• Staffing industry leadership experience required.
• Technology staffing experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
