The VP O&M, Portfolio Operations & Performance provides executive leadership for portfolio-wide operational capabilities that enable safe, reliable, high-quality, and cost-effective execution across the fleet. The role establishes strategy, governance, standards, and performance management for Inventory Control, Tiger Team Operations, Maintenance Coordination, and the Organizational Inspection Program (OIP/QA-QC). This leader connects enterprise priorities with regional execution, scales best practices, and builds durable systems that improve asset performance, execution quality, resource readiness, and organizational accountability.
Role Responsibilities:
- Creates and executes the long-term strategy, operating model, and capability roadmap for assigned portfolio operations functions, aligning priorities to safety, reliability, availability, quality, cost, and growth objectives
- Provides executive oversight for Inventory Control, Tiger Team Operations, Maintenance Coordination, and the Organizational Inspection Program; defines clear charters, interfaces, service expectations, and measures of success for each function
- Establishes enterprise governance, management routines, performance dashboards, escalation paths, and decision rights that strengthen execution discipline and enable timely intervention on portfolio risks and opportunities
- Designs and implements the Organizational Inspection Program and associated QA/QC framework, including inspection standards, audit protocols, acceptance criteria, corrective-action governance, trend reporting, and organizational learning
- Leads inventory and critical-spares strategy by strengthening demand planning, material readiness, inventory accuracy, controls, standardization, and cross-functional coordination with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Operations
- Directs maintenance coordination and portfolio scheduling practices to improve work readiness, outage alignment, resource utilization, schedule adherence, backlog management, and coordination across sites, regions, and technical functions
- Leads Tiger Team strategy and deployment, aligning specialized internal resources to high-priority corrective work, major maintenance, recovery efforts, and strategic initiatives while improving productivity, standardization, and cost effectiveness
- Identifies systemic performance losses, recurring quality issues, and execution barriers; sponsor root-cause analysis, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and replication of proven practices across the portfolio

Job Requirements and
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline required
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline preferred
- Professional credentials such as PMP, PE, Lean Six Sigma, Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, or quality/audit certification are preferred where relevant
- Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, maintenance, reliability, technical services, project or program management, quality, supply chain, asset management, or a related industrial field
- Minimum 8 years of leadership experience, including responsibility for managers, cross-functional teams, or geographically dispersed organizations
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale programs, operating-model development, organizational transformation, and sustained performance improvement
- Experience in renewable energy, power generation, utilities, heavy industrial operations, or another asset-intensive and highly regulated environment preferred
- Demonstrated experience balancing safety, quality, reliability, service, schedule, cost, risk, and workforce considerations in executive decision-making
- Executive leadership with the ability to translate strategy into clear priorities, operating mechanisms, measurable outcomes, and accountable execution
- Advanced business and financial acumen, including resource allocation, investment prioritization, budget oversight, cost-benefit evaluation, and performance reporting
- Expert knowledge of operations and maintenance practices, reliability improvement, quality systems, inspection programs, maintenance planning and scheduling, inventory controls, and program governance
