We are seeking experienced retail managers and seasoned resale professionals for the General Manager Trainee position at Uptown Cheapskate Austin. This role requires a minimum of 3 years management experience in the secondhand resale industry and a strong interest in sustainable fashion.

• Oversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals and ensure their completion, and accomplish your own goals.
• Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share.
• Maintain project & task daily, weekly & monthly timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively.
• Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
• Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved.

• Proven success in a retail managerial role.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
• Proven ability to develop and achieve sales goals.
• Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable.
• Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
• Strong knowledge of current fashion trends and brands for our target demographic of men & women 18‑35 years old.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field.
• Experience in conducting performance evaluations.
• Working knowledge of human‑resources processes.
• Microsoft Office, Google Drive, AI tools.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year.
