This leadership position will be responsible for the integrity and safe operation of the entire facility by insuring a safe environment for patient care in following all JCAHO, State and Federal guidelines and the hospital’s policies and vision. This position will be responsible for implementing training and preventive maintenance programs for education on safety with equipment operation and control. This position will have responsibility to maintain and operate the hospital’s power plant, energy management computer system and HVAC distribution.

This position will be required to perform testing, instruction, and maintenance of the hospital’s emergency backup system, all of which require a thorough understanding of controls application. This position requires the ability to respond and interact with others in a courteous and collaborative manner.

• You will insure the hospital remains in compliance with all State, Federal and JCAHO requirements at all times.
• You will assign staff to carry out needed scheduled/unscheduled work. You will serve as safety officer of the hospital; implements fire, safety and security plans.
• You will insure safe and continuous operation of the power plant, medical gas system and utilities.
• You will maintain proper ventilation/temperature of the hospital.
