Job Description

The Manager II performs routine managerial work overseeing the daily Asset Management Office operations based on agency needs to include but not limited to establishing goals and objectives for AMO Disposals section. Work involves reviewing, analyzing and evaluating asset data; preparing leadership reports and responding to customer and stakeholder inquiries related to asset management. Managing staff daily scheduled tasks, priorities and meeting productivity goals of AMO area.

Planning, assigning and overseeing workloads and task completion. Monitoring Radiant, CAPPS, SPA financial systems for asset transactions; recommending and approving appropriate action to resolve asset related transaction issues and managing/leading asset management internal projects as assigned. Perform asset management functions to include maintaining asset records, documents, or reports. Oversee administrative tasks and provide technical guidance for asset property management and inventory control and asset disposal functions.

Overseas, maintains and analyzes status and disposition of asset inventory records and physical inventory to ensure compliance with state and/or agency property management regulations, policies and procedures. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Supervise the work of other staff.

Essential Job Functions

Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.

Position Manages daily operation activities of asset management office and assists statewide coordinators with disposals and surplus program, including but not limited to overseeing and managing staff workload, providing guidance for completing tasks and assisting direct reports, stakeholders and customers with inquiries about asset management policies and business processes. 15%

Provides weekly productivity management reports in a concise format. Establishes goals and objectives to meet productivity guidelines as outlined by the Director of AMO. Reviews and approves work of assigned staff daily to ensure program area objectives are met. 5%

Manager oversees staff's asset related research to identify corrections to ensure accuracy of asset records in all financial systems daily. 5%

Manager's position evaluates Asset Management module financial system asset records and documents for accuracy; monitor asset records for compliance with departmental policies and procedures and with state and federal statutes. 10%

Make recommendations to management for asset management program needs for improvement to operations, policies, business processes and or functions. Coordinates and communicates with stakeholders for implementation of identified changes. 10%

Monitors asset management financial system entries to ensure changes in the status and disposition of property are in accordance with federal, state and agency property accounting rules and regulations. Provides asset management module technical guidance to others (for example: staff,…
