What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Control and CMM Technician to ensure that components and assemblies produced in the tool shop meet all design and engineering specifications.
What You'll Do- Operate Hexagon CMM
- Probing and Scanning Head on both CMM and Hexagon Absolute Arm
- Analyze CMM data and provide full statistical analysis for high volume production
- Work with operators, setup personnel, and programmers to help define and resolve quality issues
- Perform, assess, and debug gauge repeatability and reproducibility
- Perform first piece inspections and/or first run for production process proofing
- Perform daily calibration and verification of all CMM and supporting equipment
- 1+ years of CMM experience or 2-3 years' experience in a quality or inspection role.
- Ability to understand complex drawings and manufacturing processes
- Good understanding of GD&T
- Good understanding of PCdims, Zeiss or Polyworks
- Passionate about production and machining
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Flexible, ability to work in a fast‑pace constantly changing environment with long hours and tight deadlines
