Our client, a leading organization in electrical assembly and manufacturing, is seeking a Cable Harness Technician to join their team. As a Cable Harness Technician, you will be part of the production support team supporting engineering and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cable Harness Technician

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $22-$25

Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday
- Friday

What's the Job?
  • Perform electrical assembly of components and systems by following engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and written specifications (repetitive assembly work).
  • Use soldering irons, crimpers, and other hand tools to assemble and install electrical components, including both crimp‑style and solder‑type connectors.
  • Build and assemble custom cable harnesses following IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards for quality and workmanship.
  • Inspect and test completed harnesses to verify electrical integrity, correct pinouts, and mechanical durability.
  • Work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure all harnesses meet quality, durability, and performance standards.
What's Needed?
  • Prior hands‑on experience in electrical assembly, cable harness building, or wiring work.
  • Prior soldering (through‑hole or connector) and crimping experience is required.
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards (certification is a plus).
  • Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
