Responsible for the removal of waste to the designated bins, maintaining the production line and area in a clean environment, supplying the production areas with the appropriate waste removal equipment (trash cans, luggers, etc.) and routinely cleaning the equipment and floor with appropriate designated chemicals and equipment. Must ensure GMPs, PPE, and Safety regulations are followed at all times. Understands and demonstrates changeover and sanitation requirements.

Follows all good housekeeping practices, sanitation SOPs and adheres to any USDA guidelines for food/sanitation. Operates Compactors (inedible and corrugated), (understands Hog Farmer, Inedible bin requirements). May operate pallet jack.

• Remove waste to designated bins and maintain a clean production line and area.
• Provide waste removal equipment (trash cans, luggers) to production areas and routinely clean equipment and floor with designated chemicals and equipment.
• Adhere to GMPs, PPE, and Safety regulations at all times; follow sanitation requirements and USDA guidelines for food/sanitation.
• Operate equipment as needed (compactors for inedible and corrugated materials); understand bin requirements.
• May operate pallet jack as needed.
• Follow lock out tag out procedures and report malfunctions or hazards to supervisor.

• Must be able to communicate; reading and writing English is beneficial (bilingual preferred).
• Stand, reach, and climb stairs occasionally; lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Works well with others and can meet production/quality demands with minimum supervision.
• Understanding of chemical usage/cleaning and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Evaluation of performance occurs within the first 100 hours of employment.

While performing the duties of this job, you will work around moving machinery and be exposed to hot/cold/refrigerated areas, loud noise, and wet floors, which may be slippery. Be aware of surroundings at all times.

• Ensure product on the floor is collected and disposed of properly; avoid placing food products, gloves, wraps, or other debris down the drain; ensure drain covers are in place.
• Conduct daily operational cleaning including rinsing lines between breaks and days as needed to avoid cross contamination.
• Minimize water use in cleaning to control overspray and cross contamination; ensure motors/electrical panels/plugs are properly covered.
• Disassemble/assemble equipment for cleaning; keep parts with equipment and store hoses properly after use.
• Follow and perform lock out tag out procedures.
• Adhere to GMPs and USDA guidelines for food/sanitary standards.
• Operate controls of equipment and report malfunctions or hazards; maintain a clean environment around machinery.
• Ensure sanitation equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by lead or supervisor.
• Report to work station dressed with correct PPE on time.
• Exit criteria are met for trainee when all requirements have been met and verified by trainer.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Must be able to travel throughout production areas.
• Office and factory environment, including refrigerated warehouses.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift occasional heavy loads (50 lbs.).
• Must be able to work flexible hours based on operation needs; operate power washers as required.

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is 16.25 USD + 1.50 Shift Diff. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
