As a Wastewater Plant Operator, your primary responsibility will be to treat wastewater, determine water quality, and release treated water to city publicly owned treatment works.

FULL TIME position with some OT expected.

Schedule:

2am to 6pm availability required. We have 3 shifts and they are rotated among employees.

• Shift 1: 2am to 2pm
• Shift 2: 4am to 4pm
• Shift 3: 6am to 6pm

• Responsible for mixing the wastewater chemicals and adding to them as needed
• Manages the space for incoming wastewater and treatment of material
• Samples and checks facility discharge for compliance with all procedures or regulations
• Performs cleanup of area as required
  
  Checks tank levels for necessary space for material processing
• Follows all safety and compliance rules and regulations
• Wears and properly uses safety equipment at all times
• Always works in a safe and compliant manner
• Works cooperatively as a team member with other departments

• High school graduate or equivalent
• The ability to learn procedures related to safe handling of materials
