Electronic Assembler II – 2nd Shift
Austin, TX – Contract 4/40 –
Hours:
4:30 pm to 3 am – Pay Rate: $25.37/hr – Benefits: overtime, medical, dental, vision, 401(k)
- US Citizenship
- Requires two (2) years of a High School or Trade School education.
- Soldering experience.
- Rework.
- Mechanical and/or Tack Bond (Epoxy) experience.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings.
- Ability to become solder certified.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Computer literacy, and familiarity with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong work ethic, and a desire to be part of a successful working team.
- I need only candidates with hand soldering skills.
- Preferably that have J-Standard Modules 1, 3, 6 completed.
- Selective Solder Experience is a plus.
Electrical Assembler II. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full‑time on site.
Skills Preferred- Assemble parts for electromechanical equipment.
- Hand soldering, connector installation, and epoxy application.
- Experience to IPC Class 3 standards (a must).
- Selective solder and high‑volume wave soldering experience (a plus).
- Experienced with AOI and AXI (X‑Ray) inspection to IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001 (desired).
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings.
- Production accuracy and quality driven.
- Works in a Clean Room environment.
- Assembles, disassembles, and modifies various production subassemblies by following work plans, inspecting results to ensure conformance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD certifications (desirable).
- Hand soldering, connector installation, and epoxy application experience to IPC Class 3 standards (a must).
- Selective solder and high‑volume wave soldering experience (a plus).
- Experienced with AOI and AXI (X‑Ray) inspection to IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001 (desired).
- Utilizes fixturing to accurately build assemblies.
- Inspects parts and materials for flaws and imperfections prior to use.
- Manually solder or epoxy electrical components.
- Use solder reflow ovens, semi‑auto P&P machines, and automated measurement systems.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills, including using software for MRP and data collection.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.
- Selectively solder experience is a plus.
