NPI Technician

About the Role

As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Technician at Base, you’ll play a hands‑on role in bringing new battery products and manufacturing processes from early prototypes to full production. You’ll support prototype builds, validate manufacturing processes, and ensure each trial meets product specifications. Along the way, you’ll document observations, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and help refine processes that will eventually scale across our production lines.

• Support prototype builds and trial runs for new products and manufacturing processes
• Assist in validating manufacturing processes to ensure product specifications are consistently achieved
• Test and validate systems and components to support quality assurance procedures
• Document observations during build trials and capture the state of assembly and process performance
• Read and follow manufacturing instructions, mechanical drawings, and basic electrical documentation
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to evaluate and refine production processes
• Provide feedback during change control and process improvement discussions

• Experience supporting prototype builds, pre‑production runs, or early manufacturing trials
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions and mechanical drawings, with basic electrical knowledge
• High level of craftsmanship and attention to detail while maintaining speed and efficiency
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Comfortable working across multiple projects and collaborating with cross‑functional teams
• Reliable, proactive, and quality‑focused with strong initiative

Your work will directly shape how our batteries are built at scale, refining the processes that power the factories of the future. As part of this team, you’ll collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams while gaining exposure to cutting‑edge battery technology and advanced production systems.
