Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee all quality‑related activities at our quartz glass manufacturing facilities in Austin, Texas. Our operations specialize in the precision machining, fabrication, and assembly of high‑purity quartz glass components used in semiconductor and advanced manufacturing applications
. The Quality Manager will maintain and improve the company’s ISO‑9001 Quality Management System, ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards, and drive continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes. This role will lead internal and external audits, oversee corrective actions, and ensure our products consistently meet strict industry and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO-9001 and customer requirements
    .
  • Maintain and support ISO-9001 certification
    , including oversight of documentation, internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, review, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and process documentation
    .
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer and supplier quality issues
    , ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead customer complaint investigations and corrective action processes
    , including facilitation of 8D problem‑solving methodology
    .
  • Chair the Corrective Action Review Board (CARB) and monitor corrective action effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain product control plans and inspection standards for quartz glass manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Management Review meetings in accordance with ISO-9001 requirements.
  • Establish and monitor quality metrics and KPIs to drive process improvements and operational performance.
  • Lead and coordinate customer, OEM, and third‑party quality audits
    .
  • Implement and oversee Statistical Process Control (SPC) programs to monitor manufacturing processes and reduce variation.
  • Manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities related to non‑conforming materials.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes for quartz glass machining and assembly
    .
  • Participate in and support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and develop QC Engineers and QC Inspectors
    , including performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Develop and manage the quality department budget
    , ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct and quality standards
    .

  • Quality Control Engineers
  • Quality Control Inspectors
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related technical discipline required.
  • ISO-9001 Lead Auditor certification required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment, with at least 4 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO-9001 quality systems, auditing practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in precision machining, glass, ceramics, quartz fabrication, or semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
    .
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical design specifications
    .
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    .
