Ability to work under slight magnification for the majority of the shift. 4/10 2nd shift. Please confirm candidate is comfortable with the shift hours
Job Description
Seeking an Electrical Assembler to support the assembly, inspection, masking, coating, and modification of electromechanical and electronic assemblies in a clean room manufacturing environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, precision workmanship, and the ability to follow engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions while supporting aerospace and defense production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, and modify electronic and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies
- Perform conformal coating masking, coating, and inspection activities
- Utilize fine brushes and precision tools to coat small components and features
- Work under magnification for detailed assembly and inspection tasks
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect completed assemblies and components to ensure quality and conformance requirements are met
- Utilize fixturing and production equipment to accurately build assemblies
- Perform manual soldering, epoxy application, and electronic component assembly
- Operate solder reflow ovens, semi-automated pick-and-place equipment, and measurement systems
- Support production activities in a clean room environment
- Maintain accurate production records and support MRP/data collection activities
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet manufacturing and quality goals
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under magnification for extended periods
- Willingness to learn soldering processes and obtain solder certification
- Prior conformal coating inspection experience
- Experience with conformal coat masking and coating
- Experience using fine brushes for precision coating applications
- Experience with manual soldering and electronic assembly
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD certifications
- Experience working in clean room manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with MRP systems and production data collection tools
- Experience operating solder reflow ovens and automated assembly equipment
Requires two years of High School or Trade School education with experience in electronic assembly, electromechanical assembly, conformal coating, or related manufacturing environments preferred.
