At  Ameri-Cut Solutions Inc. , this position plays a key role in producing precision-machined components across industries such as defense, oil & gas, automotive, and food & beverage — with a strong focus on quality, problem-solving, and hands-on machining development.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

Set up and operate CNC lathes (not a button-pushing position)

Load, run, and make basic edits to CNC programs at the machine

Set tooling, adjust offsets, and establish basic work holding

Run a mix of prototype and short-run production jobs

Perform first-article and in-process inspection

Read and interpret G-code to understand machine behavior

Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality

Work closely with experienced machinists to build setup skills

Machines, Controls & Software

You’ll work with equipment such as:

Machines:  CNC lathes (single turret horizontal)

Controls:  Haas, Fanuc

Programming:  Lathe-based machine-level programming (G-code exposure)

Inspection Tools:  Calipers, micrometers, and basic metrology tools

Materials You’ll Work With

Aluminum

Steel & Alloy Steel

Stainless Steel

Nickel-based materials

What We’re Looking For

Required:

1+ year of CNC machining experience (school or shop)

Experience running CNC machines with exposure to setups

Ability to set tools and understand basic work holding

Comfort reading G-code and understanding machine movements

Basic metrology and inspection skills

Ability to read blueprints

Preferred (Not Required):

First article inspection experience

Experience with Haas or Fanuc controls

Manual machining background

Mechanical aptitude (automotive, fabrication, robotics, etc.)
