Assembly Technician

MM  Systems, an Integrated Water Services (IWS) company, is seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to support assembly and production operations at our Austin, TX facility. This role is responsible for assembling and packaging components and equipment to technical specifications while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on, mechanically inclined, and thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

• Assemble components and products using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment while following technical drawings and schematics
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during the assembly process to minimize delays
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
• Document assembly processes, production metrics, and quality‑related information
• Support material handling and inventory management to ensure efficient workflow
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to improve assembly processes and efficiency

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Preferred:

• Technical certification or vocational training in assembly or manufacturing
• Experience with lean manufacturing or quality control processes
• Familiarity with precision components and mechanical assembly

• Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to equipment and moderate noise
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and operate material handling equipment
• May require overtime or occasional weekend work
• Protective equipment required; adherence to safety protocols is mandatory
