Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Test Technician II to support testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of production assemblies and electronic systems. This role requires full-time, onsite work due to the need for hands-on collaboration and interaction with specialized equipment. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment, contributing to the testing and validation of advanced electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up test apparatus and conduct testing of production assemblies and units in accordance with established methods, procedures, and standards. Lay out and assemble units for production equipment based on engineering designs and specifications. Adjust, calibrate, and modify systems as required, including adding or altering components per diagrams and technical instructions. Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions at the component level by making adjustments or replacing defective parts.
Utilize hand tools, small power tools, and precision measuring and testing devices to perform assigned tasks. Monitor and verify product quality using statistical process control and other quality procedures. Interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation to ensure accurate testing and assembly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Completion of at least two (2) years of high school or trade school education.
Basic understanding of electronic systems and testing environments.
Ability to work onsite full-time and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience setting up and executing tests on production assemblies and electronic units.
Familiarity with test instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and RF analyzers.
Ability to troubleshoot electronic systems independently down to the component level.
Experience with assembly, calibration, and modification of electronic equipment.
Knowledge of quality control processes and statistical process control methods.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
IPC-A-610 and J-STD certifications are desirable.
Education:
High school diploma or trade school education (minimum two years) required.
