We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineering Technician who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology and excellence. In this role, you will work on upgrading and optimizing our cutting‑edge Tabless high‑speed automated equipment. You will be an integral part of a cross‑functional team focused on validating and implementing equipment and process changes that are vital to our battery cell technology.

What You'll Do- Hardware Upgrades and Optimization:
Execute hardware upgrades on our Tabless machines to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by improving availability, yield, and rate. Follow a detailed checklist and refine the process throughout the project rollout. - Production Engineering Support:
Partner with Production Engineers to ensure safe and efficient operation of production lines, maintaining high‑quality output. Proactively identify and resolve issues, propose solutions, and drive engineering improvements to achieve and exceed production targets. - Process Optimization:
Debug and optimize automated processes to enhance cycle times and OEE. Troubleshoot using PLC, HMI, or tool management software and implement improvements. Provide hands‑on support to operations and maintenance teams, troubleshoot extended downtime, and manage critical spare parts. - Documentation and Training:
Develop operating procedures, training materials, and maintenance routines. Assemble and test manufactured goods, conduct analytical tests, and record and interpret data using established tools and software. Conduct hands‑on training with on‑shift technical resources. - Equipment Development and Support:
Assist in the development, commissioning, and scaling of custom high‑speed automated manufacturing equipment. Handle setup, operation, adjustments, and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with manufacturing equipment, including root cause analysis and problem resolution in a high‑volume, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in metalworking and fabrication (band saws, grinders, mills, lathes) and knowledgeable in hand and power tools, as well as pneumatic equipment. Experience with low‑voltage systems and basic electrical tools is essential.
- Skilled in using technological tools and business systems for data management, analysis, and interpretation. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured, data‑driven approach to problem‑solving.
- Familiarity with battery cell technology and equipment is a plus.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Hands‑on aptitude: strong manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed assembly and disassembly tasks. Ability to lift and handle parts weighing up to 20 pounds.
