Avionics Production Technician I
Assemble and test avionics harnesses for Firefly Aerospace's space launch rockets and satellites.

The Role
Firefly Avionics Production Technicians work closely with the Avionics and Integration teams in the design, build, integration, and test of fully functional space launch rockets, satellites, and landers. This work primarily includes the assembly of avionics harnesses and associated flight hardware, with compensation and responsibilities adjusted to match the experience level and abilities of the candidate.
Responsibilities- 1–2 years related experience in wire harness assembly or box and battery assembly.
- Demonstrated basic technical skills in electro‑mechanical assembly.
- Excellent concentration and attention to detail with first‑rate work efficiency and accuracy.
- Industry experience in harness assembly, including wire preparation, connector termination and assembly, soldering, and layup.
- Dexterity and ability to perform hands‑on harness assembly for extended periods of time.
- Basic computer skills, including e‑mail and MS Office programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards, such as IPC/WHMA‑A‑620, IPC‑610, IPC‑J‑STD‑001, and associated assembly techniques (crimping, soldering, wire preparation).
- Mentoring of fellow team members;
Level III team members will mentor Level I and II team members.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, constantly changing production environment with flight hardware.
- Military and/or civilian aircraft production experience.
- Certifications in IPC 620, 610, and J‑STD.
