Our client, a leading organization in the retail and food service industry, is seeking a Food Prep (Fruit Cutter) to join their team. As a Food Prep (Fruit Cutter), you will be part of the Food Preparation Department supporting store operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to food safety, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Austin, TX
Pay Range: $17.00
Shift: Thursday to Sunday, 7am - 5pm (with 1-hour lunch break)
What's the Job?
- Wash, peel, cut, slice, and package fresh fruit according to company recipes and portion standards.
- Ensure all products meet freshness, quality, and appearance standards.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing, glove use, and temperature control.
- Properly label, date, and rotate products to maintain quality and freshness.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including equipment and prep surfaces.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in food prep, produce, or grocery environment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to safely operate knives and food preparation tools.
