Job Summary

Responsible for the removal of waste to the designated bins, maintaining the production line and area in a clean environment, supplying the production areas with the appropriate waste removal equipment (trash cans, luggers, etc.) and routinely cleaning the equipment and floor with appropriate designated chemicals and equipment. Must ensure GMPs, PPE, and Safety regulations are followed at all times. Understands and demonstrates changeover and sanitation requirements.

Follows all good housekeeping practices, sanitation SOPs and adheres to any USDA guidelines for food/sanitation. Operates Compactors (inedible and corrugated), may operate pallet jack.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure product on the floor is squeegee/scooped and placed in appropriate disposal bin. It is essential the line sanitiser avoids placing food products/ gloves, wraps and any other article down the drain. Ensure drain covers are in place.
  • Conduct daily operational cleaning including rinsing of lines between breaks and lunches, as well as where deemed necessary to avoid cross contamination.
  • Minimize water use in cleaning to control overspray and possible cross contamination. Ensure all motors/electrical panels/plugs are properly covered.
  • Ensure equipment is properly disassembled/assembled for cleaning. All parts remain with the equipment and stored properly. All hoses properly stored after use.
  • Follow and perform lock out tag out procedures.
  • Follow GMPs and adhere to USDA guidelines for food/sanitary guidelines.
  • Operate controls of equipment and report any malfunctions or potential hazards to supervisor. Maintain a clean environment around machinery at all times.
  • Ensure all sanitation equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by lead or supervisor.
  • Report to work station properly dressed with correct PPE on time.
  • Meet exit criteria for trainee when all requirements have been met and verified by trainer.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to communicate; benefit if Read and write English (Bilingual Preferred).
  • Stand, reach and climb steps/stairs occasionally;
    Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Works well with others; ability to meet required demands on work/quality to support production line and areas. Works with minimum supervision.
  • Understand chemical usage/cleaning and demonstrate workable knowledge.
  • Evaluation of performance to take place within first 100 hours of beginning job.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Travel throughout Production areas, office and factory environment, including refrigerated warehouses.
  • Push, pull, and lift occasional heavy loads (50 lbs.).
  • Work flexible hours based upon needs of Operation.
  • Operate Power Washers for cleaning if required.
  • Exposure to hot/cold/refrigerated areas, loud noise, wet floors which may become slippery. Must be aware of surroundings.
Compensation & Benefits

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $16.25 + $1.50 Shift Diff. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job‑related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
