Position Summary

ASSEMBLER - 2nd Shift, Austin TX – Contract (4/40

Hours:

4:30pm – 3:00am). Pay Range: $26.61 – $27.00 per hour*

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical assembly on site, working full‑time in a clean room environment.
  • Assemble and disassemble subassemblies according to work plans.
  • Use fine brushes to apply conformal coatings to small features.
  • Apply masking tape meticulously and use fixturing to build accurate assemblies.
  • Inspect parts, materials, and completed work for conformance to specifications.
  • Perform self‑inspection and use semi‑automatic P&P machines, reflow ovens, and automated measurement systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings.
  • Maintain production accuracy, quality, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
  • Work under slight magnification for the majority of the shift.
Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • High school diploma or trade school diploma (minimum two years).
  • Prior experience with conformal coating inspection, masking, and coating.
  • Ability to use a fine brush with a steady hand.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings.
  • Must be willing to become solder certified.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong work ethic and desire to contribute to a successful team.
Preferred Skills
  • Assembly of electromechanical equipment.
  • Meticulous masking tape application.
  • Self‑inspection of completed work.
  • Production accuracy and quality orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD certifications (desirable).
Preferred Experience
  • Experience utilizing fixturing for accurate assembly building.
  • Inspection of parts and materials for flaws and imperfections.
  • Manual soldering or epoxying of electrical components.
  • Use of solder reflow ovens, semi‑automatic P&P machines, and automated measurement systems.
  • Basic computer skills for MRP and data collection.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.
