Job Title:
Manufacturing Engineering Tech
This role provides assistance to Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineering, and production departments.
Responsibilities- Provides assistance to Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineering, and production departments
- Support development, routing, and implementation of manufacturing instructions to assemble products
- Reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders for BOM structures and assigns labor hours to MES
- Reviews documentation such as manufacturing procedures, BOMS, drawings, and routings
- Assists with pFMEA development to identify failures and makes recommendations to Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineers
- Provide guidance for preventive maintenance and general repair on equipment or machinery
- Provides specialized training to production employees and technical direction to production trainer
- Assists in prototype development by debugging, modifications, assembly, and testing
- Report out metrics and KPIs
- Participate in Lean initiatives and engage with Six Sigma tools for process improvements
- Interact with internal departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Production, Safety, etc…
- Completion of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3+ years related experience or training in manufacturing; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization
- Ability to read Engineering drawings and other technical documentation
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common factions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to be a team player
- Strong working knowledge of computers, equipment, and procedures.
- MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Lean experience
