Electronic Assembler II Austin, TX Contract - 2nd Shift, 4/40 Mon-Thu

Hours:

4:30pm - 3am Pay Range: $24.19 - $27.00/Hr., based on experience.

Benefits: overtime, medical, dental, vision, 401k.

Education & Skills
  • Requires two (2) years of a High School or Trade School education.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Hand soldering, connector installation, and epoxy application experience to IPC Class 3 standards.
  • Soldering experience;
    Rework;
    Mechanical and/or Tack Bond (Epoxy) experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings.
  • Ability to become solder certified.
  • Effective communication and teamwork.
  • Computer literacy, familiarity with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a successful working team.
  • Only candidates with hand soldering skills required.
  • Preferably have completed J-Standard Modules 1, 3, 6. Selective Solder experience is a plus.
Job Description

Our client is seeking an Electrical Assembler II to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts for electromechanical equipment.
  • Selective solder and high-volume wave soldering experience a plus.
  • Experienced with AOI and AXI (X-Ray) inspection to IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 experience desirable.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings.
  • Production accuracy and quality driven.
  • Works in a Clean Room environment.
  • Assembles, disassembles, and modifies various production subassemblies by following work plans.
  • Inspects results to ensure conformance.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IPC-A-610, J-STD certifications desirable.
Experience & Tools
  • Hand soldering, connector installation, and epoxy application.
  • Utilizes fixturing to accurately build assemblies.
  • Inspect parts and materials for flaws and imperfections prior to use.
  • Manually solder or epoxy electrical components.
  • Use solder reflow ovens, semi-auto P&P machines, and automated measurement systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills, including using software for MRP and data collection.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.
  • Selective Solder experience is a plus.
